Spirit, the mare, we rescued from a cruel and abused past in Raxaul, is enjoying her retirement at our Equine Retirement Center in Chharba, Dehradun. She has received proper veterinary care and treatment upon arrival and has been dewormed and  innoculated against FMD & Tetanus. Spirit is slowly being accepted into the herd of other rescued equines residing at our sanctuary. She has started acquiring a healthy weight, a far cry from her erstwhile malnourished and starving self. We are super grateful for your support. It has truly given Spirit a new lease of life. A lifetime free of abuse and maltreatment. She will now live out her remaining years enjoying the Dehradun climate, showered with love and attention. Thank You, once again for making this rescue a success.

Spirit and other animals have reached PFA Uttarakhand's sanctuary in Dehradun and are very pleased with their matching blankets and want to thank you for helping them reach home. They wouldn't have survived without your help. It's because of you that they now have a 'happily every after' story.

Thank you so much for your support! After gaining permanent custody of Spirit and the other animals rescued from illegal transport and slaughter in Gadhimai, on Saturday, Spirit and other animals made their way for their forever home to Dehradun. They will be reaching the PFA Uttarankhand sanctuary tonight but we still have 15,000 and 2 days to reach our goal of 1 lakh!
