Dear Supporters,

As mentioned in the previous update, we have refunded the amount to all the donors who has requested for the same.

The remaining amount has been channalised to 2 patients. One as mentioned in the previous update, was transferred to Shyam's campaign. We have transferred ~ Rs. 10 lacs towards his campaign. Since Shyam required only Rs. 10 lacs, the rest of the amount has been transferred to Pt. Aman.

Aman has been diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia and he needs immunosuppressive therapy to recover. This will cost around Rs. 11 lakhs. The fundraising campaign was able to raise only Rs. 2.45 lacs. Family is purely depending on the fundraiser as they have exhausted all their sources. Here is the campaign link. - https://milaap.org/fundraisers/support-aman-28

Your donations are impacting the lives of 2 other children. All donors will be intimated about health updates of both Aman and Shyam via WhatsApp messages and emails.

Dear Supporters,

Firstly, we'd like to thank you for the wonderful support that you have shown Nur Alam. It means a lot to all of us. However, we have some news to share with you today. Nur's family has decided to discharge him against medical advice from the hospital. His treatment was on going at the Pediatric Hemato-Oncology department at St. Johns Hospital , Bangalore. They were counselled multiple times by the doctors but they choose to get him discharged against medical advice.

None of the funds collected were utilized since the treatment could not happen.

At Milaap, we release funds raised only against utilization for the intended purpose, supported by treatment update from the doctor as well as bills and invoices given to us. Hence no funds have been transferred since the transplant did not take place.

We do understand that some of you may like a refund since the original purpose was not met. 100% of your contribution will be refunded - please reply to us by 31st January 2020.

In case of a bank transfer made to the account number mentioned in the page, we would request you to share the account details with us by replying to the email or reaching out to team Milaap on feedback@milaap.org.

We keep donors transparency in the process and we leave it to their discretion on how their contribution should be used.

However, if some of you would like to channelize the funds collected for Nur to another child in need of urgent assistance, we can do that as well.

Here is the campaign where your contribution can be utilised. Shyam needs to undergo a Bone Marrow Transplant. He has been diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia and the only treatment available for his is a Bone Marrow Transplant. The total estimated cost for the transplant is Rs. 25 lakhs. Here is the campaign link: https://milaap.org/fundraisers/help-atharv-3

Please reply to us before 31st January 2020 if you wish to seek a refund as all the donations will automatically be mapped towards Shyam's campaign.

With the funds collected for Nur, we are trying to save the life of another child in need with the amount collected. All donors of this campaign will receive periodic updates on the status of Shyam's health and treatment via emails and messages.

Attached is a letter from the hospital:

Thank you for your continuous support.
