Dear supporters,

Greetings! We are Usha School of Athletics, the organizer of this fundraiser and we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to each of our donors without whose love and support, our campaign would have not reached to the extent it has. Here's a small update on the beneficiary Jisna, whose tireless efforts have brought in several achievements and recognition for Indian athletics on the global platform.

Jisna Mathew is one of our best athletes and she puts in hours of hard training every day to fine-tune her skills and improve her stamina. Even during this period marred by the pandemic, Jisna has stayed put at the academy and has stuck to her scheduled training under close mentoring of Ms. PT Usha.

Jisna Mathew is part of the Indian mixed-relay team that qualified for the 2020 Olympics which is now deferred. Jisna found her best time of 51.8 sec running the 3rd leg of the 4x400m relay at IAAF World Athletics Championships, Doha, Qatar, and was instrumental in the team qualifying for the Olympics. She is now preparing in full swing for the event, now scheduled for 2021.

In December 2019, before the pandemic put a halt to competitions, Jisna Mathew was chosen best athlete at the 51st Calicut University Inter-collegiate Athletic Championships 2019-20. She came 1st in the 400m race at the well contested meet.

Now coming to the part of fund utilization for the cause, all the funds graciously donated by you have been withdrawn to the Usha School of Athletics’ bank account. Much of the funding's that we usually receive, have dried up due to COVID-19 and its adverse effects on businesses, industries and other occupations. So for the time being funds collected through Milaap will be used for day-to-day expenses and sports gear of Jisna's.

Some significant national and international achievements of Jisna's

We thank you again for your exceptional kindness and generosity. However, we would still request you to keep supporting us by sharing our campaign in your respective networks and asking your friends and family to donate to Jisna's cause. Let give her the support that she needs and deserves, to make our country proud.
