We have some unfortunate news to share with you.  Durgamallesh passed away on 24th April at 2.30 pm.

The liver transplant was done on 14th April, but the baby was still critical. A few days after the operation, the doctors said that the size of the father's liver was not working for Durgamallesh and was not setting in.
His condition did not improve and before they could provide further medical assistance, he passed away.

Sorry for the delay in posting the update. As the family was in a vulnerable state we wanted to give them time before talking to them. The family is thankful for all the care and support that you have given them. We hope they find strength in this time of grief. May his soul find peace. Please keep the family in your prayers.

I am Debotri, a fellow at Milaap. Here is an update on Durga Malleshwar's treatment.

I spoke to Durga's father, Mr Nagaraju this morning. Durga underwent the liver transplant surgery on 14th April. Although his condition was slight critical since the beginning, the doctors hoped that an early operation would be the only ray of hope for him. Thank you, donors, for coming forward to help this child.

"Durga's condition is very complicated right now. We thought things would be okay after the operation. But hardly did we know that this is stored in for us. We were informed day before yesterday that the size of my liver is not matching with my child. This is a very serious situation since there is minimal blood circulation in his body. Currently, he needs to be transfused blood, on heavy medication", said Nagaraj almost crying.

The doctors are trying best from their ends. Durga's parents have spent quite some money for his treatment. However, things are not getting better. It is an earnest request to the donors to pray for his recovery.
