Fundraise for a Cause with Milaap : the Best Crowdfunding | Milaap
29th December 2020
Hello Guys. Thank you for supporting us until this point. We had kept a little (Around 30k) saved in this fundraiser for setting up our shelter but unfortunately times are such that we have to take out this money for our day to day expense. Please contribute and share our posts so that we can reach out to more people. In 2021 we are planning to set up our own small space but that again needs a lot of money. Please help in any way you can. We are attaching all our details here:

Dear All,

Thank you for your love. Sharing an update here:

1. We keep our rescued animals at a paid creche. They charge Rs 200 per day per dog for food and shelter. The fund is directly being transferred to the bank account of the creche owner.

2. The fund withdrawn will be used to pay the creche fees.

3. The fund withdrawn is being used mainly for paying the creche fees. Apart from that it is also used for buying medicines, handling the transportation costs etc.

4. We basically have been in operation since 2.5 years and we don't have any external body who funds us. So apart from paying most of the bills from our own salary we rely only on milaap for collecting funds from outside people. We have now 14 dogs at the creche. They have been rescued from different parts of the city. 6 of them are parmanent cases which are mostly disabled. Rest are either undergoing treatment or awaiting Adoption.

Apart from rescueing we also are involved in different Community Development Projects wherein we involve the community people to help the animals. We also do sterilizations and facilitate Adoptions.

Dear Supporters,

Thank you for continuing to support us. Here's a quick update of all that has been happening in SAW recently.

If you remember Thimpi, the one with the leg fracture, she has been released successfully back to her location where she has a family who takes care of her. The next release is of Bogili, the dog with VG, she too has been released back to her area after complete recovery. We still have with us UMEED, CHAMP, RAJA, DHUBI, BRUNO, KALIA, and AKHU, our permanent inmates.

We have taken in quite a number of rescues in the last few days and managing funds has been tougher throughout. We have two cases with vaginal cancer, one case TEDDY with a very bad skin infection, an abandoned case whose condition is so bad that we don't even know what breed he is. He is only bones and skin and looks like a case of the breeding industry. We have another one rescued yesterday who is suffering from multiples internal infections and also from parvo.

We will be withdrawing funds to take care of them. We are withdrawing ₹15,000 to the bank account of Kaustav Kalita, which will be used for the treatment of the animals.

Please contribute and share the campaign with your friends so that we can carry on with our work. You can follow our Facebook page for more details and updates of the cases.

Thank you.
