Dream of buying a house comes true

32-year-old Radhika, along with four other members in her group, had taken a housing loan of Rs 40,000. She and her family had used the loan to buy a one-cent house. Inorder to do so, they had pooled in the money from their savings too. According to Radhika, without the access to the loan, their dream of buying the new house would not have come true. Radhika and her husband are farmers by profession and they sell their agriculture produce of vegetables like brinjals, tomato, cucumber and sweet potato in the local market. Before leaving to sell the vegetables, Radhika took a cucumber, cut it into four halves and smeared it with some chilly powder. As she handed it over, she said, "You might not get to eat these everyday". Radhika, her husband, their three children and her aunt are living happily in their new house. Radhika and the other member of her group are thankful for having received the loan.
