Cancer Took Everything From Us Including Our Home, But I Can’t Lose My Husband Too.

Life has a strange way of changing in the blink of an eye. It feels like just yesterday that we got married in 2001, full of dreams and promises. After ten years of longing, we were finally blessed with a son—a beautiful boy who filled our lives with joy. But our happiness was fleeting.

My husband was diagnosed with cancer. There were no symptoms, no signsIt came out of nowhere, blindsiding us when we least expected it.

His Condition Only Got Worse

At first, we clung to hope. The doctors began chemotherapy and radiotherapy, but nothing seemed to work. His cancer, cruel and relentless, progressed from stage 3 to stage 4. Each day, I watch the man who once made our world feel so secure become weaker. His smile—the one that lit up our lives—is now overshadowed by pain.

We Don't Have Any More Money To Continue The Treatment

My husband is the only breadwinner, and his hospitalization has left us with no income. We’ve done everything we could to pay for his treatment. We used up every rupee we had saved over the years. I sold all my jewelry, borrowed from friends and family, and even took out loans. When that wasn’t enough, we sold our house—the home where we built a lifetime of memories—to keep him alive. Now, we live in a small rented room, with no savings left and debts growing by the day. And yet, the bills keep coming. The doctors say immunotherapy is his last chance, but it will cost 8 lakhs. I don’t know where to turn anymore.

My Son Has Heart Problems Since Birth

Our son is only 12, but life has forced him to grow up too soon. He was born with a heart condition—his heart is on the right side of his chest, and there’s a hole in it. Yet, he’s such a bright, talented boy who excelled in sports. He had dreams of playing cricket professionally, but we had to pull him out of his academy because we couldn’t afford it anymore. I see him trying to stay strong for us, hiding his worries behind a forced smile.

I Feel Helpless, Unable To Do Anything

And me? I try to be strong for both of them, but it’s not easy. I have polio in one leg and broke it twice, making it even harder for me to move around. I feel so helpless as I watch my family fall apart, unable to do more for the two people I love most in this world.

We Cannot Imagine Our Lives Without Him

Every time I see my husband smile through the pain, I think about the man he was before this cruel disease took over our lives. He used to plan trips for us, even if it was just a simple outing to the park. I miss those carefree days, and I dream of having them back. He’s the heart of our family. Without him, I don’t know what we’d do. My son and I need him. We love him so much, and the thought of losing him is unbearable.

You Are Our Only Hope

We are at our breaking point, and I don’t know where else to turn. We’ve tried everything, but we’ve reached the end of what we can do on our own. We need your support to afford the treatment that could save my husband’s life. Any contribution, no matter how small, could make all the difference. Please, help us bring him back to us.
