A call from a remote village changed Govind Singh Rathore’s life forever.
A young woman had been chained to a tree by her own family after they believed she was possessed. Under the scorching 50-degree heat, she was left without treatment, dignity, or hope. Govind rescued her, got her medical care, and today she is healthy, independent, and living with dignity again. That day, people stopped calling him by his name and started calling him “Govind Bhaiya.”

For the last 18 years, Govind Bhaiya has stood beside women and children facing abuse, abandonment, and violence.
He walks into places most people are afraid to enter - homes filled with silence, fear, and trauma. Through his organization, women receive shelter, counseling, stitching training, legal support, and a second chance at life. Over 76,000 women and children have already found safety, hope, and dignity through his mission.

But just 2 months ago, Govind Bhaiya lost his mother - the woman who inspired this entire journey.
Her struggles taught him compassion and showed him what strength truly means. Even while carrying the pain of losing her, he continues to show up every single day for women who have no one else left to call family. For many of them, Govind Bhaiya is not just a social worker - he is the brother they never had.

Keeping this mission alive has never been easy.
There were months when staff worked without salaries and days when groceries had to be bought on credit. At one point, Govind Bhaiya’s wife even handed him her jewellery and asked him to sell it so the organization would not shut down. Because for hundreds of women and children, this organization is not just a shelter - it is the only safe place they know.

Today, Govind Bhaiya receives calls from over 50 villages asking for help, safe spaces, and empowerment centres for thousands of women and children.
But with limited funds and resources, reaching everyone has become impossible alone. After spending 18 years breaking chains, stopping abuse, and rebuilding lives, Govind Bhaiya now needs your support to continue this mission. Your donation can help him reach those who are still waiting for someone to show up and say, “I am with you.”
