“At that very moment, everything flashed before our eyes. The same thing, the same symptoms we had seen when our son got sick. And we couldn’t...we couldn’t save him. It all happened a few months and now it seems like death is here to haunt our family again…”– Sarita Devi, mother.

Nandani was admitted to a hospital. Tests were done and the results concluded that Nandani suffers from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. It is a type of blood cancer which can be fatal if left untreated. Currently, she is undergoing chemotherapy but the treatment is expensive and needs to be continued for months.
Cancer has put Nandani's dreams on hold
17-year-old Nandani is in standard 11th. She is someone who has always wanted to help her family in whatever little way possible. A brilliant student, she has a clear vision of her life at a young age but all her dreams have been put on hold due to her cancer.
“She is kind and caring for our family. She wished to earn money and give us a better life. I wonder why is my pure-hearted child suffering so much?” – Sarita Devi, mother.
“I’ll be alright mummy...”
The last time Nandani spoke to her mother was before she was admitted to the hospital. She is bedridden and requires breathing mask. She is conscious but isn’t able to speak.
“I’ll be alright mummy- This was what she said when she spoke. I wish it comes true. But currently her condition is worsening.” – Sarita Devi, mother.
Vikramjit, Nandani’s father, is a vegetable vendor. He is able to earn nothing more than Rs 8000 per month which is spent on taking care of his family.

“I’m toiling hard to earn money for my daughter’s treatment but 8 lakhs is beyond my means. I have put in all that I had saved. I have even borrowed money but it is not enough.” – Vikramjit, father.
This teenager has bright life ahead of her if she beats cancer. Don’t let financial inability come in her way.
