He couldn’t move his leg or his hand, and his entire body turned pale
3 months ago when Srinivas had come home from work one day, Deepak hadn't seemed as excited as he usually did. He seemed to be having trouble walking, and couldn’t even move his hand.

Thalassemia is a blood disorder that results in large numbers of red blood cells being destroyed, a condition called anemia. It makes little Deepak extremely tired, and easily breathless. If not cured soon, it will also be life threatening.
I get paid by the number of meters I weave in a day
Srinivasan is a weaver and gets paid on a daily basis. His income depends on the number of meters he weaves on any given day.
“My income isn’t that much but we managed to get by. We were never worried by finances, it never bothered us really, until now. I am at the verge of losing my son because I can’t afford his treatment. How will I live if... if something happens to my little boy and it was my fault?” - Srinivasan
He is just 1 year old, he gets very scared of the needles
“He can’t talk yet. He used to show me what he wanted through gestures but now... my son is too weak to even lift his hand. He is irritable and cries all the time, unable to explain what he wants. I can’t stop my tears looking at him suffer like this. What has that little kid done, he is just 1 year old!” - Sangeetha
Little Deepak doesn’t understand what is going on. All he knows is that he is unable to play like before. Whenever he is taken to the hospital, he cries endlessly in fear of the needles. Deepak has to get blood transfusions done to survive. But how long can that help him? Only a bone marrow transplant can save this 1 year old and give him a better life.
