Left By My Husband, I’m Battling Alone To Save My Daughter From A Deadly Blood Disorder

Watching my two daughters grow and dream was my purpose and pride. As a mother, I felt all my struggles were worth it. But then life suddenly struck down my happiness.

Today, instead of classrooms, my elder child spends her days in hospitals. Doctors say she needs a transplant in the next few days, but the cost is far beyond anything I could ever afford.
I Expected A Simple Cure. Instead, Doctors Told Me She Might Not Survive

When my 14-year-old daughter had a high fever, I didn't think much of it. We went to the hospital for a check-up, thinking it would all be over in a few days. But the fever didn't go and when the tests came back, doctors told us it was much more serious. They diagnosed her with Fanconi Anemia, a deadly blood disorder.

To keep her alive, we had to start her on monthly transfusions. But as her condition worsens, the doctors say a bone marrow transplant is the only way to save her.

I'm Working Just To Afford Our Next Meal. The Treatment Is Beyond Our Reach

After her diagnosis, their father left us. I had to move 500 km to Bengaluru with my daughters and live with my mother, just to keep her treatment going. I started working as a daily wage labourer to pay bills, but it was only ₹200–300 a day. Every rupee goes into her treatment.

To afford the initial treatment, we sold all our jewellery and even pulled both my daughters out of school. Now there's nothing left for the transplant.
Many days, I skip meals to feed my younger daughter or my mother. And when I see my child crying in pain, too weak to sit up or speak, I feel like I’m fighting a losing battle, alone. Doctors say if we wait longer, she may get too weak for the surgery.

She Had Just Started To Dream. Now This Disease Is Stealing It All Away

Now, she can’t even go to school. She lies down most of the day, sleeping more than she’s awake. Her sister has stopped playing, too. Life has become a quiet struggle.

My daughter often tells me she wants to become a teacher. It was her dream, and now I'm afraid she won't live to make it come true.

I Can't Lose My Child Just Because We’re Poor. Please Help Me

My children are the reason I live. Without them, I have nothing left. Her 12-year-old sister is ready to be the donor, but if I cannot arrange the surgery in time, my daughter will slip away.

I can't save my daughter alone. Your support is our only chance.
