Liver Cancer Has Made This 6-Year-Old Too Weak to Even Sit Up

I'm Ashit Kumar. As an ordinary wall painter, I never had much money. But my family and I  learnt to make the best of our lives.

One day she was playing, the next we were told she had liver cancer. I still can’t believe this is our realityToday, doctors say that she needs a transplant in just 20 days, and I don't know how to afford it.

She Rarely Fell Sick—This One Disease Has Made Her Too Weak To Even Sit Up

My daughter was always a ball of energy and joy, eager to learn and play. So, when she said her stomach hurt, we rushed to the hospital. We thought it had something to do with her food, but the series of tests and scans showed us that she had a tumor on her liver.

Our world shattered when she was diagnosed with stage 3 liver cancer. She went through months of chemotherapy to slow it down, but it hasn’t been enough. The liver transplant is her final chance — but it costs ₹20 lakhs, an amount that’s far beyond anything we can arrange.

We Have No Money For School And Barely Any For Food

The school my eldest daughter goes to keeps sending notices. They say, “Pay the fees or your child will be removed.” We haven’t been able to pay since December 2024. Every time she leaves for school, I pray that they don't send her away.

I’m a painter, and if I do get work, I earn 300-400 rupees a day. But I haven’t been able to work in the last seven months because of the constant hospital visits. After selling our land, my wife’s jewellery, and borrowing through loans, we’ve already spent ₹15 lakhs. Without any income or money left, I can't keep my children in school or even feed them properly.

She Says, "Papa, I Also Want To Go To School Like Other Kids," — But We’re Helpless

Every night, my daughter cries in pain. Her body aches all over, and we can do nothing but sit beside her, holding back our tears.
Even through all that pain, she asks us to let her go to school.
We barely have the heart to say no. So, she smiles and tells us to help her practice her maths tables — just to feel like she's still part of a classroom.

She holds onto the hope of getting better so fiercely. But I don’t know how to keep that fire alive when we have nothing left to continue her treatment.

I Can't Stand To See The Colour Leave My Child's Eyes. Please Help

I used to bring colour into people’s homes. But now, I fear I’ll never be able to bring colour back into my daughter’s life. We have only 20 days left to save her. I can’t lose her just because we’re poor.

Help me give my daughter a chance to live and grow.
