After two boys, Snehal and Satish were blessed with a beautiful baby girl and named her Arvi.
As soon as she came into this world, Arvi's brothers were excited to hold
their little sister in their arms. Everything was going perfectly, until
Arvi had to be hospitalized due to a rare Liver Cancer.
"It started with high fevers and none of the medicines were working. Soon, her stomach started bulging and she just kept crying all the time. We were shocked when the doctor told us she has a cancerous tumour in her liver and if we don't treat it urgently, one by one her organs will start failing."- Snehal, mother
Little Arvi is suffering from a rare Liver Cancer
Arvi is currently on ventilatory support and suffering from Hepatoblastoma, a very rare Liver Cancer. This has also caused Multi-Organ Failure and she needs inotropic support for her heart to function normally. At just 1 year of age, she is awaiting a critical surgery and chemotherapy cycles but this is only possible when her parents arrange 10 lakhs to continue her treatment.Arvi needs urgent chemo and surgery or else her organs will fail
Satish drives an auto for a living while Snehal works as a maid. They are living hand-to-mouth with a cumulative daily income of just Rs.500 when they have 3 kids to fend for."My baby girl hasn't responded since a week and we don't know how long she will be in PICU. If her tumour isn't operated on soon, her cancer will spread everywhere and fail her organs. Every day we need more than Rs.15,000 to keep her in the hospital. I have mortgaged our wedding gold to keep her here. Please help me, my mere autorickshaw driver job will not be enough to save my daughter."- Satish, father
She is desperately trying not to let her daughter's treatment stop but in vain
"We have done everything in our capacity to keep Arvi's treatment ongoing. I have worked at a lower wage just because we need money desperately now. We have taken loans, mortgaged our jewellery and still could manage only 1 chemo cycle for Arvi, but it's not enough. We don't have time and 10 lakhs is a huge amount for us to gather so soon. The more we delay, the heavier will be the price we pay."- Snehal, mother
Snehal and Satish are relentlessly trying to manage everything but in vain. Arvi's chemo needs to continue so that they can shrink her tumour. Only then can they proceed with her life-saving surgery. Arvi's brothers keep asking why have their parents taken her away from them to which they have no answers. They had to drop out both their kids from school because at this point of time they just want to save their baby girl. Please give these parents a chance to do so.
