Once Active And Full Of Life, This Teenager Is Now Bedridden Only A Transplant Can Save Her

Abhinaya has always been an active child. Whether it be cultural activities or sports, she wouldn’t miss it for the world. An avid Kabaddi player, she has won many medals for the school and made her parents proud. But everything changed when a life-threatening disease entered her life.

“There wasn’t a day when my child would sit idle and be so calm. It was so hard to make her sit at a place for longer than a few minutes and now, this disease has left her bedridden.” Anjali, mother

Her kidney is failing and only a transplant can save her

17-year-old Abhinaya suffers from chronic kidney disease, her kidneys have failed to function and she is currently on dialysis. She needs a kidney transplant without which she won’t be able to make it.

“It’s been more than 4 years since my child started falling sick. We were clueless about her severe condition and kept running from one hospital to another for diagnoses. She would take medicines and get better but within a week she would fall sick again. Fever, infections and breathing trouble became a common thing. Her life, it just came to a standstill!” -Parasuram, father

She lies on her bed lost in her thoughts- why me?

Abhinaya is old enough to understand everything and hence is very cautious about her health and her medicines. But the child has lost the love for life she once had. She is mostly sad and lies on her bed lost in her thoughts. She hardly falls asleep and at times, she suddenly starts crying thinking about her condition. The poor girl is going through a lot, physically and emotionally.

“My daughter has become so weak that she is unable to even get out of the bed without help. Her weight has reduced to half and she constantly feels tired. She is barely eating anything as food is making her feel nauseous. I don’t know what to do or how to make her feel better…” - Anjali

A plumber, trying to make ends meet

Parasuram is a plumber and his income is hardly enough to keep up with the expenses. He took loans and borrowed money from his friends to keep her child alive till now but he has nothing to continue the treatment.

“She needs the transplant to survive and I am unable to afford it. Please help me save my child. You are my only hope.” -Parasuram
