This initiative is by NEB Sports in partnership with Milaap to raise funds for multiple causes.

NEB Sports organizes a number of marathons across the country and is committed to promoting a fit and healthy lifestyle through running. Through running, they also aim to promote the act of giving amongst the participants and bring about an awareness for various issues.

Milaap is a crowdfunding platform and is the official charity partner for Bengaluru 10K Challenge. Milaap aims to provide a seamless experience for people willing to raise and donate funds for multiple causes through their platform.

Both NEB Sports and Milaap hope that this effort will provide an impetus to fitness and the act of giving through running. 
The event is on July 10th, 2016.
The timings are:
10K Timed Run - 6.30 am
10K Corporate Challenge - 6.30 am
4K Fun Run - 8.30 am
You can get involved by:
  1. You can donate towards a project
  2. You can raise funds for one of the listed projects
  3. You can raise funds for your own cause, 
  4. Corporates can participate as a team under various plans
Your money will directly help the civil society organizations (CSO)to accomplish their goals and make a difference to society.  Milaap will closely work with the CSOs to ensure that the funds you have donated are used in the best possible manner and share regular updates. 
You can donate any time starting 26th May, 2016 till 31st July, 2016.
If the civil society organization (CSO) you are donating to has an 80G certificate, yes you will receive 80G tax exemption receipt issued on behalf of CSO.

Yes. The page is mobile-friendly and visitors will have the same user experience from their phones.  All payment options available on desktop version are available for mobile device too. 
Yes! Besides our secure, SSL encrypted online payment options, Milaap also has cheque pickup and direct bank transfer through NEFT, for this campaign.

Cheque pickup facility is currently available only for donors in the following cities in India: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune and Surat.

Residents of other cities can mail the cheque directly to our address given below. On the envelope, please mention the name of campaign: "Bengaluru 10K Challenge"

We’ll reflect your contribution on the website within 3-5 working days of cheque receipt. Your name and details won’t be displayed if you chose the anonymous option. You’ll receive an email acknowledgement regarding the same.

You can choose 'Pay as Anonymous' while making a payment to any campaign, and you'll remain anonymous.. You can also choose the 'Remain Anonymous' option while editing your profile.

Yes, you'll receive it via email once you've made a donation. If you are logged into your Milaap page visit the page - https://milaap.org/home#mydonations to download the receipt. 
You believe in one of the listed causes and want to support the project. You can set up a fund raiser campaign to raise funds for that particular project and reach out to your network of friends and family for the cause. The funds that you raise will be directly transferred to the listed project that you are supporting.

There are 3 plans for participation as a team for corporates:

Plan 1:
Team 10 - Field a team of upto 10 employees
Total Contribution - INR 50,000

Plan 2:
Team 25 - Field a team of upto 25 employees
Total Contribution - INR 1,00,000

Plan 3:
Team 40 - Field a team of upto 40 employees
Total Contribution - INR 1,50,000

The total contribution includes the registration fees and the fees for the costs incurred on the bibs. The remaining amount will be donated towards the NGO of your choice. The entire amount is tax deductible under Section 80G of Income Tax Act.

The following privileges will apply to the corporate participants:
  •  MD or CEO of companies will be hosted at the Grand Stand on race day to cheer their participating team  
  • Acknowledgement on the Bengaluru Marathon 10K website as a corporate sponsor.  
  • Special running number bibs for all corporate team members with name of company mentioned on the bib.  
  • High res race day photographs for corporate team members.

No, participation in the run is not mandatory to set up a campaign. You can set it up without participating.
