Incident:
One of my close childhood friend’s Sister Mrs. R.Vanitha has met with an accident on 16th March 2018 near WARANGAL(Dist), TELANGANA STATE, INDIA. In this accident her both legs are severely damaged , Truck has passed on her left leg and total flesh attached to the bone was crushed under the wheels and right leg thigh bone was broken badly. Immediately taken her to nearest hospital, then shifted to “Guardian Multi Specialty Hospital” in WARANGAL town.
Emergency Treatment:
Removed damaged flesh from right leg and fixed metal rod to support broken right leg., complete left leg top to bottom 7 layers of skin was damaged and removed. Underwent for 5 hours surgery to remove left leg damaged flesh and to adjust and stitch loosen flesh from the bones.
Since one month patient is in ICU under close monitoring of plastic surgery surgeon.Next Course of Mandatory Treatment:
As 7 layers if skin got removed on complete left leg , patient need to go for plastic surgery with grafting method. We approached "Aakar Asha Hospital" senior doctors panel with the help of Helping Hand Foundation , conclusion is this treatment is must needed for patient survive. Time line for the treatment will go around 3 - 4 months and estimated cost for the treatment is around INR 10,00,000 apart from the expenses already spent(INR 4,00,000) for emergency surgeries. There is a chance of spreading infection from an unhealthy portion of the left leg that may damage critical Nerves passing from heart to thigh which may causes for life risk.
Sources we are Trying to Seek Help:
Chief Minister relief Fund received around INR1,00,000.
Patient's Brother gather all his savings and spent around INR 2,00,000.
Local friends and relative supported around INR 1,00,000.
Collected sum can help us to pay current dues in hospital for the treatment so far done. To go for the main surgery and to recover patient completely post operation , we need around INR 10,00,000.
Appeal:
Patient is financially very backward, her husband is a labor who goes on work for daily wage and he is also suffering with some long term medical issues. She has 2 daughters (11.yrs and 16 yrs) both are mentally disable. My friend Mr. Veshala Srinivas is putting all his efforts and appealing us to save her Sister’s life as her support is very much needed for mentally challenged 2 children.
