In Rs.7500 you will help us provide a child with stationary supplements, books and other study material and an access to vocational training sessions.
In India, 90% of children from poor families remain illiterate despite completing four years of school education. Also, around 30 percent of children reach the illiteracy rate even after attending five-six years of school.
Around the world, government is grappling with ways to reallocate their education budgets to those children most in need. Allocations per child still do not adequately reflect the costs of delivering quality education to the marginalised.‘Drishti’ is an initiative by Hamari Pahchan NGO to bridge the gap between the privileged and underprivileged children of the society. It all began with informal education sessions, which are conducted regularly and include important themes for the development of the child's cognitive and behavioural aspects.
Every child is entitled to a Right to Education. We are striving to preserve and broaden the scope of this conviction through this initiative. Due to the initiatives taken up by Hamari Pahchan NGO under the Drishti Project, beneficiaries like Raj are well versed with magic words like “Please, Sorry and Thank you” and use them in everyday conversation.
I am Ananya, a second year law student working with Hamari Pahchan. I have been working for this cause relentlessly with the help of this organization.
