During this pandemic, we are all in lockdown in the comfort of our houses, oblivious to the fact that so many students don’t have the devices to attend online classes, thus missing out on their school. This campaign is a support fundraiser, under thinksharp foundation, a non-profit organization that aims to improve the quality of education in rural schools located in India. Most of the students have the privilege of accessing devices, in order to stay connected with their school work and continue their learning, but children in rural areas do not have the same chance.
Through this campaign, our goal is to raise enough money to provide 75 functioning tablets to children in rural areas of Maharashtra, giving them access to quality education. The amount raised by this campaign goes towards buying tablets for 75 students in low income government schools, tying together technology, teachers and the students.
The tablets will contain enough materials such that these students can continue learning. They will also allow them to connect with the respective school and their teachers. The cost of each tablet is 18000. The amount needed to buy 75 tablets is 13,70,000.
