What is Ruby Times?

The Ruby Times is a newsletter that has been initiated by the students of class 3, Ruby Primary school, Ahmedabad.

Apart from running a newsletter, our class needs funds for the following tools that will help us learn and have more choice as we grow up:

For the rest of this year and for the next academic year we need:

1. Special education budget of Rs. 5,000 for this academic year alone for two of us - one of us may have downs syndrome and another, a learning disability. Even proper testing cost money. We can't wait to see them doing better! 

2. Rs. 30,685 for a projector - we are 38 of us in a classroom, we cannot all see the videos that we want to. - http://www.amazon.in/Epson-EB-S18-3000-Lumens-Projector/dp/B00FPER63U/

And:

Rs. 3,000 to print 500 copies of the newsletter every month for the entire school. We want our school to want to read, to write and be good people. We want to talk about all that happens in our lives. 

Special Note: Our mothers are most interested in learning English. Classes for them begin next week. All the above resources and books, will help them empower themselves. The more empowered they get, the more empowered our community gets.
