About Shell Eco-Marathon
Our Vision
Saving petrol in our daily life has become very essential for us. The natural resources weren't used and exploited reasonable and effectively, petrol will be less and less. What’s more, petrol is the nonrenewable resource which will be run out someday in the future. So we should save petrol in our daily life. It costs 2 hundred million of years for the nature to form the crude oil which is below the earth’s surface. But human can consume half of it for only 200 years. USDOE said, if current consumption rate continues, the rest global oil resources will be run out in 40 years. In the consumption of global crude oil, approximately 60% was used for a transport vehicle, half of which was used for coach and light truck. Therefore, our cars burn less gasoline will affect oil consumption. Perhaps more importantly, saving petrol will give our decedents. Burning fuel is not harmful but the burning of too much fuel is harmful.
We believe in conserving the fuel rather finding an alternative for it.
Our Achievements
2014
• One of the first teams from India to successfully clear the safety and technical round.
• We achieved a mileage of 61.5 kmpl.
2015
• We were ranked 7th in Asia in the Urban Concept Gasoline category and 1st in India.
• We recorded a mileage of 91.3 km.
2017
• Team FUTURAMIC participated for the 3rd time in the Urban Concept Gasoline Category.
• Cleared the technical round

We Are!
Team Futuramic, a group of aspiring mechanical engineers working hand in hand to achieve super-mileage by building and testing an Urban concept car at Shell Eco-Marathon Asia.
We do all the necessary research and development regarding the design and fabrication and is made entirely from scratch by us.
This experience thus educates us as engineers and who will be contributing to the future automotive sector of this competitive world of ours.
About Shell Eco-Marathon
The Eco-Marathon is an annual competition sponsored by Shell, in which teams throughout the world build special vehicles to achieve the highest possible fuel efficiency. The Eco-Marathon is held in three continents i.e., Asia, Europe and America. The events are entered by a range of participants from enthusiastic amateurs to university teams and major motor manufacturers with a variety of designs. Shell Eco-marathon challenges student teams from around the world to design, build and test ultra-energy-efficient vehicles.
