Minjur, Tamil Nadu (where I live) does not have a single x-ray machine in any hospital. It’s a small town with 1 government hospital and a tiny private clinic. Covid patients have had to travel 10 km to get to Ponneri (the nearest x-ray facility).

Even after getting there at 10 am, some have had to wait till 5 pm in a queue of 100 people to get their x rays done. Many don’t even have the transportation to get there. Most of them are farmers, daily wage workers, and other laborers who earn 3000 a month.

The money raised will be used to buy a second hand X Ray machine which will be placed in the government hospital. The bills of the same will be uploaded after purchase.
