Dwarka Progressive Club is a registered NGO and mainly works on cleaner Eco-System, Woman empowerment, Socio-economic issues related to working class, Skill Development, Garbage Segregation and organise cultural events to connect people. We have been conducting various cleanliness drives in West Delhi areas with the help of MCD and other government agencies.
We have been organising many cultural events on the festivals as well, motive behind organising these events is to encourage people to come together to celebrate and to make the younger generation aware of our diverse culture. During these gatherings we also discuss current national issues on health, education, cleanliness, gender equality, skill development, employment and Eco-System.
We have also organised awareness campaigns in various housing societies and market places in Dwarka wherein the main focus has been to educate people to keep the surroundings clean, Segregation of waste into dry and wet and making compost out of the wet waste. The response to this has been very encouraging with many people and housing societies have been associated with us in this drive.
Our work has been recognized and honoured by several organisations like Education 360, Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Janakpuri Club, Grehlakshmi Magazine, Dwarka City Media group, Hindustan Times, Dainik Jagran and many other organisations including government departments and media houses.
With other social and civic issues our prime focus today is on making our country a "Zero Waste" society which can come with right awareness and by helping government agencies in developing practical infrastructure.
We sincerely hope our collective efforts will turn Delhi from a "Garbage Hill Station" to a "Clean Capital".
