We are Saumya, Arzoo, Suvodeep, Maithreyee and Akriti. We are Teach for India fellows and alumni from Holy Star English High School in Malwani, Mumbai.

One of our students, Zoya Jaffar, is suffering from Pulmonary tuberculosis. Zoya is a 13 year old child and comes from a low income community.

Pulmonary TB is a bacterial infection of the lungs that can cause a range of symptoms, including chest pain, breathlessness, and severe coughing. Pulmonary TB can be life-threatening if a person does not receive treatment. People with active TB can spread the bacteria through the air.

We need the money urgently in 1-2 weeks for her to receive the required medical attention.
