Hello everyone My Name is G. YASWANTH SRIRAM From Visakhapatnam. I am currently studying final yr B.tech in Acharya Nagarjuna University.
I have been selected for the Jagriti Yatra 2019 . I am shortlisted in top 450 candidates from over 25000 applicants.
Jagriti Yatra is a 15-day long, national train journey that will take you 8000 kilometers across the length and breadth of India, to understand and build the India of smaller towns and villages through enterprise.
I will travel almost 8000 km in those 15 days, exploring the length and breadth of what this beautiful country has to offer, along with 450 other participants handpicked from all over the world. These are artists, entrepreneurs, students - all passionate changemakers, just crazy enough to believe they can bring about the change they wish to see in the world.
The train stops at 12 locations to personally meet exceptional change-makers who are transforming India. Aravind Eye Care (Madurai), Anshu Gupta (Goonj, Delhi), Bunker Roy (Barefoot College, Tiloniya), Joe Madiath (Gram Vikas, Odisha), Narayan Murthy (Infosys, Bangalore), Harish Hande (SELCO, Hubli) and R.Elango (Kuthambakkam Model Village, Chennai) are a few among others. Nation-builders such as Sam Pitroda, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Meera Sanyal, and Dr. R. A. Mashelkar have participated in the program previously.
I will meet role models, change-makers, leaders from all over India in 12 cities and will gain knowledge about our society and how to help poor people and educate them.
Though I am selected for Jagriti yatra 2019 I cannot afford to pay the fee of 74000 . I got the level 2 scholarship of 32000 from jagriti Yatra team but I cannot afford the remaining 39000 rupees as I am still student & my family cannot afford that much amount because our family income is less than 90000 for a year .
So please help me to participate in this life-changing educational yatra and I would be intensely grateful for any support you can show me.
