Kya Bol Reli Public!
I am Yash Walter, a 25-year-old small town boy whose passion has always been to be a radio jockey. I have spent my childhood and grown up in a district called Sitapur, 90 Kms away from the Capital City, Lucknow (UP). I come from a peaceful city, but it also lacks opportunities and exposure to dream big in life. So, I moved to Lucknow in 2017 and started pursuing a Sales Job to become financially independent.
Fast Forward to 2022, I am now a Host for a Talk Show that has 2000+ followers and 20 thousand plays across 6 digital platforms. So, what’s this show all about, you ask? Weekends with Walter is a trending podcast that celebrates stories of youth from semi-urban areas, pursuing unconventional career paths and have taken the road less travelled. So far, our guest list includes 40 inspiring individuals who have made a mark in diverse fields like music, creative writing, small businesses, fashion, vlogging, etc.
I am on a mission to create a revolution of stories through my podcast and to showcase career journeys that align with youth’s passion and interests. I am looking for your support to build this platform and reach 100K listeners (youth and others) in the next five years.
More about the Podcast:
WWW provides youth an open platform who have created significant impact in their personal lives and communities to reach out to a larger audience to inspire one and all to live a life one truly values. My podcast streams twice a month on every alternate weekend and as of now, I have featured 40 stories each inspiring and impressive that of a young boy from Gorakhpur entering the rap industry; another from Varanasi working tirelessly to provide quality education to disadvantaged children so on and so forth.

How I started the Podcast?
After spending one year in a showroom as a Sales Executive, Ekdum se Waqt Badal Gaya Jazbaat Badal Gaye Zindagi Badal Gayi, and I entered the Social Sector. In my new role, I got to travel and interact with young people studying in government/aided colleges of UP, Bihar, and Haryana. During my visits, I realized that so many of them were hustling to connect their passions to professions and found themselves stuck in conventional careers, which resonated a lot with my own journey.
This further motivated me to invest my creative energies into building a platform that could connect the youth to share, learn, collaborate, and grow from each other’s journeys and be allies. In doing so I chose to be fresh and ground-breaking and started a Podcast talk show titled Weekends with Walter, the closest I could get to living my childhood dream and encouraging youth to do the same. My stories are available on SoundCloud, Spotify, JioSaavn, Amazon Music, Google Podcast, and YouTube with 2000+ followers and 20K+ plays across.
Why am I here?
To reach my desired goal I require 1Lac to create a revolution of inspiring stories in doing so I intend to make my podcast a sustainable platform, featuring 150+ youth stories and having a listener base of 100K in the next five years.
Currently, I record my stories on the go without a dedicated recording space, with a basic mic and borrowing other devices from my friends which is far from reaching my aim. Your contributions will help me in having a dedicated workspace with soundproofing and purchasing professional equipment to improve the quality of podcasts delivery for my listeners. It would also help me logistically covering costs of getting on the ground to travel and reach true stories which are diverse and impactful.

Risks and Challenges:
If I don’t reach my target goal for the crowdfunding, I fear that not only my passion project would come to an end (which honestly would be heart-breaking for me!) but also stop the unheard, remarkable stories of youth from coming into light.
Contribute!
I look forward to your heartfelt donations towards my labour of love, any amount be it small or big is significant to me. I send warmth, my eternal gratitude, and an imaginary air hug for your generosity towards my passion.
You can also support us and contribute to the revolution through –
