Hi, my name is Rubab Khatra and I am a student from Chandigarh.
In April 2022, I founded Project Smash!, a social initiative that aims to increase awareness and educate people about the intersection of gender equality and economic empowerment, specifically in terms of women's economic growth, feminist financial structures, and labour that goes unrecognised.
By means of this initiative, we aim to empower women by giving them the tools and information they need to achieve their goals of liberty and equal participation in society. The SMASH! Initiative intends to do this through a multi-stage approach, focusing on women of all ages from diverse backgrounds. It involves spreading information through the use of children's books, informative and extensive curriculums, and workshops as well- in addition to building a network of mentors and guides for the women we work with!
As a next step in our contributions to women empowerment, we wish to raise funds for Yuvsatta (Youth For Peace), an NGO that centers youth advocacy in the journey towards social progress.
All the proceeds from the campaign will go towards the NGO to support them with their initiative that focus on women’s empowerment. Together we can change the world, one effort at a time!
