Hi,
We are college students raising funds for WIRES Wildlife Rescue which is working towards the rehabilitation and preservation of the Australian wildlife. WIRES has been working diligently in these times of Australian bushfires and we want to help in whatever capacity we can. We were hoping to raise at least Rs. 20,000 for the same.
6.4 million hectares of land have been destroyed by these fires in the last three months. 500 million animals have been killed and 800 million are affected. The carbon emissions have shot up, human lives have been lost with a lot of destruction of infrastructure too.
The funds collected will be used in the following way by WIRES Wildlife Rescue:
- 47% for wildlife rescue, information, and education
- 21% for volunteer training and support
- 19% for wildlife food, treatment, and equipment
- 13% for fundraising
