Hi everyone! For my birthday this year, I've decided to start a fundraiser for the cause I'm most passionate about, wildlife conservation. ALL donations made from this campaign will go directly to the Wildlife Trust of India (WTI).
For as long as I can remember, my dream was to become a veterinarian/ zoologist/ marine biologist or literally ANY other profession where I could interact with animals in their natural habitats. Naturally life took over, and although I'm not in any of those career paths right now (yet), my dream is to give the voiceless the life they deserve.
The Wildlife Trust of India is a conservation organization committed to the service of animals through raising orphaned animals and their consequent release back into the wild, mitigation of human-wildlife conflict, awareness programs, developing extensive wildlife conservation plans and so much more. Their 'Van Raksha Project' for example, promotes employment of daily-wage laborers while actively countering wildlife crime. You can check them out at https://www.wti.org.in/
My goal for this fundraiser isn't to raise thousands of rupees for a worthy cause (although it would be a really cool by-product), but to spread awareness on the truly amazing foundations out there and why we will owe a perpetual debt to our planet. In our social media dominated world, this quote seemed the most befitting - “Nature is painting for us, day after day, pictures of infinite beauty", let's not take that for granted.
