Lovely Weenie's life is hanging by a thread. She is a one-year-old cat who was rescued after she gave birth to 3 kittens who were killed by another stray cat. The fosters wanted to opt for a spay surgery to prevent further such tragedies and the surgery took place on 27th May but a Gurgaon-based vet from a reputed clinic didn't advise them of the risks of proceeding without being vaccinated. Further, her blood report obtained prior to the surgery was not shared in time showing a high lymphocyte count and low neutrophils and her conditions of post-operative care were also apathetic as she wasn't given a cone for the next two days. For the next 3 days, she didn't eat food and had severe and painful diarrhoea. Further adding to her woes was that she then managed to rip open her stitches leading to septicemia and other complications. Currently, she is not doing very well, not eating, and on an IV at a vet in Gurgaon. The fostering family have exhausted all energy, wits, and pockets to look after her and are seeking help solely as a matter of contingency– due to these unexpected turn of events.
Weenie is a fighter though and is struggling to live through her 50/50 odds of surviving. Her liver and kidney are quite damaged as you can see in the blood reports I am sharing here. The people who care about her have gone through much trouble to get her to be healthy again but it's a long and expensive journey. More blood work, pus cultures, boarding, surgeries lie ahead. They will be short of around 30,000 in the next few days. In this regard, I humbly request you to please donate for Weenie's treatment. Please do help, it's very urgent!
