Deepa- Dry waste sorting staff in DWCC, Udupi
"We are all uneducated waste workers and sorting dry waste is the only source of income for us. Because of the lock down, there was no work to do and hence we didn't have money to buy ration. Saahas helped us with the ration kit and Rs 1000 cash which was of great help to us.We thank Saahas for providing help during lock down." We want to help more waste workers like Deepa during Covid-19. Saahas is a non-profit organization working in the field of waste management. At Saahas, we believe that when waste is managed at source, it becomes a resource. Since 2001, we have been helping build communities across rural and urban India that manage their waste at source by reducing, reusing and recycling their waste and achieving 90% resource recovery.
