I am Sujith, Vinay’s (25 yrs) elder brother. Vinay is a happy-go-lucky guy and his life was normal with the usual WFH woes until he started seeing rashes on his ears. Within just two weeks, Vinay’s condition was diagnosed as SLE, an autoimmune disorder where a body’s immune system attacks itself, especially the critical organs. receiving treatment at Sunshine Hospitals, Secunderabad. SLE has no permanent cure, it can be only controlled in the initial stage. Unfortunately, in Vinay’s case, it was diagnosed at a severe stage. All his major organs like the pancreas, liver, kidneys, lungs are severely impacted. He has been on the ventilator support 100% in ICU since 12pm on July 31 battling for life. 

The doctors are trying different treatments like steroids, dialysis, plasmapheresis, anti-fungal injections as Vinay is yet to respond to any method so far. All these treatments are expensive. The various treatments plus the hospital charges are amounting to a lot more than our financial capacity. We have exhausted all our savings of a regular middle class family with no assets and we have taken our family’s help too. So far we paid 8 lakhs excluding all other diagnosis costs and miscellaneous costs as of 4th august. Vinay’s insurance has exhausted as well. The hospital told us that the ICU treatment will require around 10 lakhs more. It is just for the ICU treatment for Vinay, there will be more charges involved once he recovers and he is in a state to be treated in a regular ward. With no other option to get immediate financial help for such a huge amount, we are reaching out to you for donations.
