My name is Deva Prasad, aged 16, doing my 12th Standard now. I am here to raise funds for my handicapped father, Vijayakumar. I don’t know to where to start with, firstly I feel blessed to be born to a lovable father who was polio attacked from his childhood, maybe I am a God sent child to help my father overcome his difficulties.

I have a younger brother who is 10 years old and my mother is a housewife who helps my father in his daily chores. Life was never easy for us, my father being the sole breadwinner for the family, had 2 accidents years back which made our life more difficult. However, with all the struggles, we have been sticking to and living our lives.

It was on 29th November 2021 midnight, my father complained about chest pains and we were helpless. Seems he had 2 major attacks on 29th and 30th November, but still he survived and it was on 01st December, we got him admitted at the GH. Doctors there explained the criticality and told us “your father could be saved, if advance treatment is given.”

I couldn’t imagine my younger brother being fatherless at this young age, we somehow shifted my father to Kauvery Hospitals, Alwarpet, Chennai with the help of relatives and friends. He is been treated there and in the next few days, we need around INR. 7 – 8 Lakhs for further treatment (stent or surgery) until discharge.

I would like to request everyone reading this to please come forward and consider donating to help my father get this treatment urgently. He is going to in heart failure, requiring oxygen support. He has to undergo angiography after which further treatment- Angioplasty (stenting) or surgery will be required. Any help and support you can share no matter how large or small will be sincerely appreciated. Thank You
