My name is Saurabh Arora and I am here to raise funds for my Mother treatment – Mrs Veena Arora who is 62 yrs old .
The last month has been very challenging for our family. My mother was tested positive for COVID a month back and was hospitalized for a week & now have been diagnosed with Severe Mucormycosis (Black Fungus) / Acute Invasive Fungal sinusitis. She was in and Manipal Hospitals Dwarka Sec-6, Delhi. Treatment of Black Fungus was very costly however was discharged from hospital because of unavailability of Liposomal Amphotericin B after 11 days & therefore Doctor suggested to get discharged so that she can take the medication namely Noxafil Posaconazole (although very less effective but no choice) which will cost 12 Lakhs approx. at home for followed by another surgery if required.
In the last month we have already spent over 18 lakhs for her treatment and medications. Somehow we have arranged these funds from savings and loans from close family members. Next few days are very crucial for us and we will need another Rs.25,00,000/- (25 Lakhs) -more in order to continue the treatment of my mother. The treatment cost is exorbitant. But as a family, we can’t let go.
