We have started an initiative 'Workers Unity Helpline' to help those workers and their families who are stranded due to nationwide lockdown/curfew. The workers were working in the industrial zones of Manesar, Dharuhera, Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Noida (Khora Colony) Delhi and other parts of National Capital Region.
Due to lockdown these workers have no money to feed themselves and their families. We are setting up local teams and a Central Coordination Center to track down these workers and provide them food and medical help.

We (the team of volunteers of unity workers group) will be supplying food and medicines to the stranded workers where ever we could locate them. We have arranged vehicles (private cars from friends and family) for the distribution and getting permission from the govt for plying the vehicles on the road for the said distribution. The estimated cost for this plan is Rs.2.5 lakh as of now. But we are locating more and more workers so cost estimate may increase.
The stranded workers will be benefitted and we are in the process of locating them both on the roadside and in their dwellings. We will keep you posted about the locations and the workers we helped through this campaign.
