Migrant industrial workers in Sangli district are facing the brunt of the lock-down. Left with few days of essential supplies, factories closed and virtually penniless, our brothers and sisters will starve. But not while we stand by them. We will make sure that it doesn't happen if you support us.
We are helping the migrant daily wage worker families by providing them ration. Your support is crucial in this. We intend to continue this activity until the return of normalcy.
We, Vivekanand Vaidyak Pratishthan are a charitable organization working in the area for the last 20 years and have a good understanding of the socio-economic realities of the population. We believe in selfless service for the most vulnerable and marginalized sections of our society. During the floods in Sangli district in August 2019, we worked with the district administration to provide medical care to 30000 people. Additionally, 3500 kits for daily needs were distributed to the flood-affected families through our network of hundreds of dedicated workers.
The donations received will be used to provide ration and other essential supplies ( soaps, sanitizers, etc) to the families. We estimate an amount of 500 rs will help a family over 2 weeks to come.
Your small contribution will go a long way to help the most vulnerable of our communities to get through the biggest epidemic of our lives.
The organization also runs a 50 bedded multi-specialty hospital and is currently preparing for treating CORONA patients.
Our partner organizations for numerous other activities include Maharashtra Aids Control Society, Walchand College of Engineering, Adani Foundation, Americare foundation Mumbai.
