Mr. Rajiv Khera, age 50, is a loving son of a very beautiful family who resides in Angul, Odisha. He met with an accident on 27 Feb due to sudden drop in BP/Sugar followed by a blackout. He fell on the divider and broke his spinal cord (C3, C4 and C5). The doctor suggested an immediate surgery, so he was taken to Care Hospital, Bhubaneshwar (120km from Angul). After the surgery he was on the ventilator and within a week there was water filling in his lungs and had to go through a procedure again. After 15 days he was moved to a smaller nursing home as the family could not bear the expenses which was INR 70,000 per day. The expense started piling up there too and he has now been moved to Angul to Surendra Hospital on ventilator.
The family has been trying hard to revive his condition by all means possible. They have done their best in arranging for the monetary expenditure till now. However, now the amount has started creeping beyond manageable levels and started getting stressful. In such times of acute emotional trauma, we all can help them with at least the monetary expenditure apart from our prayers. Hence it is a very humble request to contribute whatever amount possible, by each one of us, towards his treatment and relieve the family off some stress in such tough times. No amount is small.
