Hesa Enterprises aims to distribute groceries to over 1 lakh people in Hyderabad slums.
1) Fund utilization.
Entire fund will be spent for procuring groceries. We at Hesa are donating funds to poor hungry families that are affected due to lockdown. Till date, we have donated to around 18000 families across Hyderabad, Vizianagaram, Bangalore and Visakhapatnam. We pack 7 essential items like rice, dal, sugar, atta, oil, few spices and veggies into a kit to be donated to the poor. For example, for each kit, INR 500 is fund raised, entire INR 500 is given to grocery suppliers and INR 50 is paid to the delivery boys from Hesa. We are not making any profits out of this and we do intend to donate the entire contribution to the poor families.
2. How are you associated with the beneficiary?
I am an employee and an integral part of the senior leadership team in the for-profit social venture Hesa Enterprises Pvt Ltd. Hyderabad, reporting to CEO & Founder Vamsi Udayagiri. The venture is in vogue since the last seven years in quest to take products and services closer to consumers/beneficiaries.
3. Business model
a). We use drivers or delivery boys who are most affected as the people to do the task by paying them a little. This helps their livelihoods.
b). We pack 7 essential items like rice, dal, sugar, atta, oil, few spices and veggies and donate to the poor.
c). We created an online site that helps donors to donate to this cause.
Any small amount of donation would help. Contributor's intent to be part of helping poor shows an act of togetherness like - “We are all in this together"
