LetsCode is a social initiative that aims at increasing access to coding opportunities for students from underserved communities. Students from such backgrounds are often unable to access opportunities and resources related to coding due to it requiring expensive equipment such as computers and related hardware and software.
Here at LetsCode, we believe that coding is a great skill that all students can and should learn as it instills them with foundational problem solving, data analytics and a host of other transferable skills. In this vein, we have curated an activity book that provides step-by-step lessons on coding to allow students, with little to no prior exposure, to learn coding in a simple and engaging manner.
We believe that students can learn a great deal from their peers which is why we have created the LetsCode Volunteer Network in collaboration with other students. The network of students will be disseminating information during the LetsCode Workshop Series using tried and tested teaching methods that have shown to be effective for students with no prior ICT training.
We are now looking to raise a goal amount of INR 75,000 toward the procurement of computers, laptops, modems, and software subscriptions to establish a full-fledged computer lab at Hamari Pahchan. Your contribution will help us set up a working computer lab at the organization through which students can learn and regularly practice coding and other ICT skills!
