Toolkit for Thinking Global Forum
Across many parts of India, especially in remote and underserved communities, children grow up with curiosity and ideas, but very few spaces to express them.
They are told what to do, but rarely asked what they think.
They see problems around them - at home, in school, in their communities, but don’t always feel they can do anything about them.
Over time, this shapes what they believe is possible for themselves.

What we are doing
We are building a platform of real-life stories of children, in the pre-teen age group, who, in their own small and big ways, have tried to solve problems around them.
These stories are documented and shared as short videos in local languages, so that they feel relatable and accessible.
But the work does not stop at the video.
These stories are then brought into simple, weekly group sessions with children.
A facilitator sits with them, plays the video, and creates a space for conversation - asking questions, listening, and encouraging children to reflect, share, and think.
Over time, this becomes more than just watching a story.
It becomes a space where children:
- begin to see what is possible
- connect it to their own lives
- and slowly find the confidence to try things themselves
Why we are different
This is not a platform where children simply watch videos.
It is a facilitated, ongoing intervention.
The difference lies in what happens after the story.
Every week, children come together in a structured space where:
- a facilitator guides the conversation
- children are encouraged to think, question, and respond
- and they return week after week to continue that process
Without that, it is just another video.
With it, it becomes a way of shaping how children think and engage with the world around them.
What this leads to
Children start to:
- question what they see around them
- approach problems with more confidence
- and try small actions in their own surroundings
They stop seeing themselves as passive observers, and start seeing themselves as capable of acting and leading.
Our vision and why this matters
We are trying to build a generation of children who are not limited by their circumstances, but guided by a sense of possibility.
Children who grow up:
- thinking for themselves
- acting with confidence
- and taking responsibility within their communities
It begins early.
And when children experience this early, it changes not just what they do - but what they believe they can become.
Over time, some of these children become the ones others look up to - leaders, problem-solvers, and examples within their own communities.
Why we are raising funds
We are now at the stage of taking this into real communities across India.
The funds will help us:
- support a small core team working on this full-time
- enable facilitators to run weekly sessions with children
- create and edit the story videos used in sessions
- travel to pilot locations and build partnerships
- conduct impact analysis to understand what is working
- manage basic operational and on-ground needs
This is still early.
We are starting small, learning from the ground, and building carefully.
Your support helps us take this from an idea to reality in children’s lives.
Note: The Toolkit for Thinking Global Forum is registered in Panjim, Goa, and works to support underserved children across India.
