KnowBody is a social initiative founded in April 2025 aimed at breaking the stigma surrounding menstrual hygiene and reproductive health literacy for young women from underserved communities in India. Rooted in the belief that every girl deserves to understand and care for her body with dignity, this project aims to provide accessible education and essential menstrual resources that promote knowledge, confidence, support and care.
The SomeBody Cares Fundraiser is being organized in collaboration with Sukhad Foundation to raise funds that will be utilized in the procurement, design and distribution of menstrual hygiene kits; alongside the facilitation of expert-led awareness workshops for underserved adolescent girls and young women in and around Mumbai, Maharashtra.
These funds will go towards supporting the ongoing work of Sukhad Foundation, which has consistently worked to make menstrual literacy and reproductive health more accessible across India. The period kits will be tailored to provide comfort and information, while the workshops will create a safe space for participants to ask questions and dismantle harmful taboos.
Our goal is to raise 1 Lakh to make these interventions possible. Every contribution will go towards ensuring that no girl’s health is compromised due to misinformation or shame around her body.
So let’s come together to support this cause; because for every girl left behind, there must be ‘somebody’ who cares.
