The other day, a push cart vendor we often buy from, called my mother (a doctor). She said that she had tested positive for covid. She wanted to know what medications to take. My mother asked her whether she was monitoring her temperature. The lady said she did not have a thermometer at home. That's when it hit us!
While most of us have thermometers and oximeters at home, the underprivileged have no way to monitor their condition. The result is that they seek medical attention when things get uncontrolably bad.
I am raising funds for buying thermometers and oximeters for the underprivileged. I am working with Bangalore based organisations Sampark and the AECS Layout Residents Association and the Rotary Club Agartala for the distribution.
