Unlock the key to a different future. Educate a girl today!
Pause for a moment to read a thought-provoking story about a girl who faced all odds to pursue her education under Upraant’s guidance, an NGO working to bridge the societal gaps preventing women from living better, happier lives!
Rewind back to the time of the pandemic, and you will remember a time of utter chaos leading to myriad issues surrounding the world. COVID hit hard on all of us, but for some, its implications hit harder, and such was the case of Jayshree, a young girl and a bright student who had to make a tough choice between education and supporting her family, a choice no child should have to make. COVID took away her father's life, leaving his entire family in dire straits. Losing the sole bread earner in the family invited many difficult changes for three children and a single mother, who now had to grapple with severe financial stress and ensure the well-being of her children.
The discontinuation of the scholarship that supported Jayshree till 10th grade proved to be a further downfall in her academic life. Upraant emerged as a helping hand when Jayshree’s family hit rock bottom. It provided employment and training in stitching to Jayshree’s mother, which eased the existing financial strain.
But most importantly, Upraant shone the light on Jayshree’s life by helping her pursue her further education and live her dreams! Upraant plays an active role in assisting such girls and women in vulnerable spaces to uplift them to aim higher and live better lives! Education is a stepping stone to success, but millions of children lack this vital opportunity to make their lives happier and more stable. Upraant acts as a guiding entity that ensures that the voices and lives of these girls from humble backgrounds and experiences don’t go unheard and unseen.
