Covid-19 and the subsequent lockdown has us all locked up in our houses. We are privileged to be able to lead a comfortable life in the midst of a pandemic. Most do not have this luxury. We are setting out to support 500 families with food necessities for a month. These families of daily-wage earners have been stripped of their income due to the closure of most businesses. They are struggling to make ends meet. It only costs Rs. 2600 to support 2 families with food ration packets for a whole month.  These packets contain weekly supplies for one family- 5 kilos of rice, 1 kilo of rice and 2 kilos of potatoes. Mahavir Seva Sadan- the organization that we have partnered with and will be distributing through has already started their drive and distributed over a 1000 such food packets in the slums of Kolkata with the help of the Kolkata Police. Please help us reach our goal of feeding 500 families. It is our responsibility to contribute to our community at this time of crisis. We will appreciate your support.
