Story

Project Rasayan in collaboration with Bagiya- an initiative by the Sanshil Foundation, aims to promote experiential learning in the socially weaker sections of society. We are focussing on learning Chemistry by having a lab and performing experiments, so that students learn chemistry in a better way.

Details of the Campaign (what exactly will be done with the funds)-
1. Chemistry Laboratory will be set up at a school called Bagiya run by the Sanshil Foundation.  Mrs Shilpa Sonal of the Sanshil foundation is the Founder. Address is- BB 88 Mayfield Garden Market, Between Hibiscus and Bani Square, Sector 50, Gurugram, Haryana. Shilpa Sonal's contact number is 9873329733. One room in the school will be dedicated for the laboratory.

2. Things to be bought for the laboratory-
5 large wooden tables, 10 wooden tall stools, 2 fans, 1 black board, chalks boxes,1 white board, markers, 1 notice board with pins, Fire Safety equipment, First Aid Kit box.  This will require Rs 60,000
3. The lab will require all the material in order to perform the chemistry experiments-test tubes, beakers, jars, chemicals, weighing scales,, test tube stands, scale, litmus, boiling tube etc (please check the uploaded document). All these will be required in large quantities and will have to be bought again and again. These will cost around Rs 40,000.

These are the details of how the finds will be used. The Chemistry Manual is already prepared which has the full curriculum and syllabus of the Chemistry experiments to be done with the students.

ONGOING PROJECT- This is an ongoing project. Suhani Mishra has already been working with students of Bagiya for the past 2 years and performing experiments with them and teaching them chemistry through hands-on method. (please see uploaded pics). We have videos as well to support this.
