I am 32 years old female diagnosed with AML Acute myeloid leukemia (AML). I am a Ph.D. holder in nephrology. I got married in Nov 2017 to Gaurav Misra.
Post the covid vaccination, I developed symptoms such as a high-grade fever of 104 followed by acute weakness, frequent episodes of vomiting.
I consulted a GP who recommended a blood test, which brought to light the reasons for such episodes i.e. leukemia. The report suggested a count of 93% blast with acute low platelets and hemoglobin.
When I was finally admitted to hospital, upon a flowcytometry test it was confirmed that I have AML Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with aberrant CD7.
I am currently undergoing a Chemo treatment along with a blood transfusion. I have already spent 5 lakhs in 5 days towards the cost of the initial investigation and treatment.
As per the doctor, the cost would increase further as Chemo would continue for a longer duration and if not successful we would then resort to Bone Marrow Transplant.
This entire process is stressful both mentally and financially, any monetary support towards this will be grateful.
