We are a collective of 100 transgender people from Davangere District, Karnataka.
Our livelihoods have been severely affected by the pandemic and the resulting lockdown, which has been going on for two weeks. It has been a struggle for us to even get enough money for daily meals. Many of us are elderly, and some are living with HIV.
We need your support to raise money for basic needs such as daily ration and other essentials.
In order to raise adequate funds to tide us over for the next month, each individual requires a monthly kit of Rs. 2000.
In a time of acute crisis, please extend your solidarity with the transgender community of Davangere.
We ran a similar campaign previously for forty individuals, and were able to meet our target of Rs. 60,000/- thanks to the support of people like you. This has given us hope for expanding our campaign to try and reach even more people. Please take care, and thank you for your contribution.
