The Transgender community in India is one of the most marginalized and discriminated against. Its only three years back that legislation regarding the welfare of the transgender community came into existence - the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act 2019 and Transgender Rule 2020.

While the provision of legal rights for transgender persons is still a long journey ahead, many transgender persons or organizations that work for them do not know about their issues, laws, rights, and judgments.

Knowledge is power and we are attempting to give this power to the Transgender community, allies, and people who work with them.

We have developed a Training Manual on Transgender-sensitive Journalism and conducted one workshop. We intend to conduct more such workshops. Besides, we also plan on conducting Workshops for the sensitization of Lawyers and Law students.
