Rotary Club of Kalyan Riverside is working in Kalyan and surrounding areas since 2008. Through Rotary Club of Kalyan Riverside, we provide school uniform stationery, bicycle distribution, supplementary feeding for malnourished children and lactating mothers, construction and arrangement of school toilets, corona and rubella vaccination, happy school, solid and e-waste management, ambulance donation, blood donation and health screening camps, Computer and scientific experiments school literature and many other educational activities are implemented.
As a part of that, since November 2013, we have been continuously providing supplementary food and blood iron supplements to around two hundred malnourished children and mothers in Murbad taluka every month. This diet includes Dates, three types of chickpeas, Vitamin supplements etc. Once a month we go to Shiroshi, Moroshi, Nyahadi area and distribute such food with the help of Anganwadi workers working there. The said activity is going on in Shiroshi, Nyahdi, Tokavde-2, Tulai and Moroshi beats during the above period. Interestingly, since we took up this initiative, the problem of malnutrition has reduced to a great extent & since then, not a single child has died of malnutrition. All these activities are carried out by us with the help of members or from time-to-time donations received from philanthropic individuals and organizations.
We have monthly Rs. 1,00,000/- i.e., Annually Rs. 12,00,00/-
