The festival of Diwali can be quite hazardous for the street dog community all across India. As dogs have highly pronounced auditory senses - what we may find noisy is often absolutely unbearable for them. To escape the noise of Diwali crackers and find a safe haven, they often run and hide in dark nooks and under cars where they may go unnoticed and are thus susceptible to unfortunate accidents and injuries.

Keeping this in mind, The We Exist Foundation, a registered not – for – profit organization, is organising it’s “LET THERE BE LIGHT CAMPAIGN”. One collar costs Rs. 40 & our aim is to raise Rs. 1,00,000. This would allow us to purchase & distribute 2500 reflective collars, which we will put on our resilient street dogs through the aid of our volunteers, in multiple cities across India.

We hope these collars will allow our street champs to be seen in the dark, especially during this festive season & with the advent of winters right around the corners.

Let us spread “light” in the lives of our community street dogs this festive season! After all, we  shine brighter… together !
