Winters are here, and everyone is upgrading their wardrobe with the latest collection of jackets and sweaters, while lakhs of homeless have no access to clothes or even a blanket to keep them warm this season.

We all know, how unkind winters can be when one has nothing to protect themselves. While the entire city dons their sweaters, monkey-caps and mufflers with a hot cup of tea (which they enjoy holding instead of drinking), there are a few under-privileged, who cannot afford even a blanket and die — without a roof — to add one more to the count of deaths in North India due to cold wave every year.

For Paper Plane, it’s not just about changing the lives of the people, but doing something even more basic than that — making them survive — enabling them to fight their battle of survival against winter.

We have been distributing blankets to the ones who are actually in need, since 2017, and would be continuing our blanket distribution drive to those in the greatest need — the old, the homeless, and the sick, this year, and will be running Save a Soul this Winter campaign, #SOS2020, starting December 25th, 2020. This year, the target is to ensure the distribution of at least 500 blankets.

Therefore, I would like to humbly request you to contribute as little, and as much as you can. I also encourage everyone to spread the message to all your friends and share the donation link. I’ll be sharing complete details about the locations along with the nos. of blankets distributed.
